Hi, I’m James; I provide manual driving lessons in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas so if you’re looking for a local driving instructor, look no further!

Before becoming a driving instructor, I taught History in Secondary Schools in West and South Yorkshire for over 20 years. That experience has given me patience, empathy, and communication skills that will help me develop you into a confident and safe driver for life! I have swapped the classroom for the road as nothing satisfies me more than watching people develop their skills and confidence; coaching and mentoring people to succeed, whether it be passing exams or passing their driving test!

I have been fully trained in the LD system which will enable me to ensure you are test-ready in a timely manner. This will not only potentially save you money but also means you will have a sound grasp of how to drive safely, with confidence and in an eco-friendly manner. More importantly, the LD system also allows flexibility to adapt to how you learn and at a pace that suits you! The LD driving skills workbook provides us with a framework to follow your progress so you can be rest assured good value for money. It can also support supervising drivers if you decide to get additional practice outside of your lessons.

I have two teenage children and a little dog named Pablo. In my spare time I enjoy taking him on long walks in the countryside (as long as there’s a decent cafe en-route) and I’m a season-ticket holder/sufferer at Leeds United, but please don’t hold that against me! I also love a good supernatural horror film/boxset, my partner Kelly, less so.
